The Pete Churchill Trio

Pete Churchill vocals and piano, Steve Watts bass and Dave Wickins drums

At Seven Arts Thursday Feb 25th, 8pm

What an engaging man this Professor of Music is! Pete Churchill is a lot more than just a
brilliant pianist. Some of his chord work is of the 'time stands still' variety. His vocal style is clear and distinctive tone marries well with the music he chooses to play. And...oh my...what exquisite music. You will hear a mix of classic jazz standards along with a few of his own compositions, all played with feel and intensity.  And as if all this isn’t enough, Pete possesses a natural enthusiasm that has audiences hanging on his every word. And the back line? On acoustic bass, Steve Watts employs a subtle technique that tells you he never intrudes. Dave Wickins on drums, a subtle and supremely able musician who plays exquisitely. This will be an evening to savour.
