Jim Corry has been a member of Corinne Bailey Rae band, playing on many of her albums and has been one of he founder members of the funk/afro beat Haggis Horns. He an ever increasing reputation on the Jazz circuit. He is a fine and fluid sax soloist influenced by the likes of Phil Woods, Peter King and Rosario Giuliani. In 2004, Jim was seen at many more Jazz Festivals up and down the country.
Most recently, Jim has spent much of his time touring the UK and Europe with artists as diverse as pop sensation Corinne Bailey Rae and 70s legend Roy Wood. Aside from this, Jim has managed to maintain a busy schedule of regular gigs in the North of England playing everything from Jazz to Funk and Latin American music.
At last September's Chapel Allerton Festival we enjoyed Jim Corry headling the Sunday jazz day with the band "Atlantic". This quartet shows a different jazz side, with great musicians playing some of Jim's own original compositions. Hear him play on http://jimcorry.co.uk/
