A brand new trio led by saxophonist Phil Meadows featuring some of the finest improvising musicians around, instrumentalists that draw on their personal experiences to give the audience an insight into the music they live and breathe!

Phil Meadows has had the fortune to tour the UK to critical acclaim over the past three years and was the youngest and only British candidate in this year’s European Keep an Eye Jazz soloist competiton held at the prestigious jazz stage at the Bimhuis, Amsterdam. Phil has played at Manchester Jazz Festival, Harrogate International Festival, Royal Exchange Theatre and the Leeds International Jazz Conference to name a few. He also regularly performs at jazz clubs nationwide such as Stratford, Wakefield, Yardbird (Birmingham), JATP (Bradford) and Matt and Phreds (Manchester).

 Stuart McCullum

Now he returns to Leeds with both a new line-up and set-list of music combining both original compositions and some arrangements of the trio’s favourite Jazz Standards. The Trio has welcomed guests from all over the UK to perform on extra special occasions. For the Seven gig the guest will be guitarist Stuart McCullum, the Cinematic Orchestra's guitarist extraordinaire. Stuart will take us on a magic carpet ride of trippy samples, edgy grooves and some finger-busting fretwork
