Ronnie celebrates his lifetime achievement award for services to jazz from Jazz Yorkshire with his all star 16 piece Orchestra playing all new arrangements. The band will feature Jim Corry-alto sax, Joel Purnell-tenor sax, Lee Hallam-trombone, Neil Morley-lead trumpet, Mark Chandler-trumpet, Adrian Knowles, bass, Pete Fairclough-drums and Ron on baton.

Anyone who has been the house drummer in the Gene Pitney band and was the the support drummer in the band playing with Buddy Rich can't be all bad! Timeless isn't really a description you should give to a drummer (although some drummers definately are challenged in the time department) but Ronnie just seems to have been around for ever - underpinning some of the best big bands in the country, teaching scores of musicians about music, life and much more at Leeds College and swinging like crazy on countless jazz gigs. His band Quintessentials has played for us before at Seven but his new Big Band will just be a huge treat. Hear them and watch them here

And it is our Christmas Party too, so watch out for our giant raffle, funny hats and frivolity
