Jenny Smith Quartet

JAZZ VOCALIST JENNY SMITH, WITH ANDY CHOLERTON - PIANO, KEN MARLEY - BASS AND PAUL SMITH – DRUMS
Jenny Smith, originally form Hull, began to take an active interest in jazz at the age of 16 when she and four school friends formed a jazz quintet. Later that year she was invited to sing and tour with the Hull Youth Jazz Orchestra. In 2003 Jenny moved to Leeds to undertake a BA in jazz studies. She is currently gigging in and around Leeds with various jazz and pop ensembles, including the well-established function band 'Fine and Mellow' and new function band 'All Night Long'. Jenny's credits include touring with the theatre show 'Swing Fever', girl singer with the 'Al Wood Big Band', front singer for 'Rhythm Nation', singing backing vocals for 'Marisa Turner' (ex Chaka Kahn singer) and Tower of Power tribute band 'Soul Vaccination'.  The date at Seven was the launch date for her new album.
