Sendai featuring Mila Dores

Mila Dores on vocals, Seth Bennet on bass, Joost Hendrickx on drums, Craig Scott on guitars and Upneet Singh on tabla. 

Mila Dores is a new young talent on the jazz scene. She leads an edgy, moody ensemble performing their own twist on standard jazz tunes. She recently won a Jazz Yorkshire futures award to help her develop write and record some of her own material - this will be showcased at Seven.

Her music shows influences from jazz, blues, contemporary classical and northern Indian classical music and improvisation. She has worked with Omar Puente, Jamil Sheriff, Matthew Bourne, Christophe de Bezenac, Anita Wardell, Norma Winstone, Rus Pearson, Joel Purnell, Kari Bleivik, Lianne Carroll, Ian Shaw, Simon Purcell and Martin Speake. She has toured around Portugal, Spain and the U.K with her band
