Joe's Allison trio with Tony Burkill

Sun 17th Oct  Joe Tatton on piano, Tony Burkill on sax, Eryl Roberts on drums and Garry Jackson on bass.

Inspired by the songs of Mississipi jazz pianist Mose Allison and playing a mix of covers and originals Joe's Allison is a breath of fresh air with its down-home style & great songs. Joe Tatton has played extensively with bands in the north of England and is currently touring on organ and piano with "The New Mastersounds". He has played at the New Orleans Jazz Festival and Fuji Rock, Japan and has worked with other artists such as Andy Sheppard, Corinne Bailey Rae, Steve Parry Big Band from Hell and The Haggis Horns among many others. Leeds College of Music lecturer Garry Jackson has lent his great bass backing to a number of top UK jazz musicians including Alan Barnes, Dave Newton, Tina May and Julian Joseph. Manchester's phenomonal drummer Eryl Roberts has played with everyone from Jim Mullen to Chuck Berry then Pete King to Damon Albarn. Not to be missed. Listen to Joe's Allison here and here
