All are welcome at what promises to be a fascinating masterclass by two great jazz stars - bring your horn or just yourself!
"Artistic, talented, dedicated" - these are but three of the many attributes that describe pianist, composer and bandleader Cecilia Coleman(pictured below) . A native of Long Beach, CA and resident of New York, Coleman began to play piano at age 5 and at age 15 began to study jazz pianoShe is a potent pianist capable of performances that are both exciting and moving. She has five CD's out as a leader: "The Impostor","Higher Standards", "Home", "Young & Foolish" and "Words of Wisdom"

Benn Clatworthy was born in England in 1955 and has been a resident of Los Angeles, Ca since 1980. He has worked with: Cedar Walton, Francisco Aguabella, Otmaro Ruiz, Cecilia Coleman, Lionel Hampton, Jimmy Cleveland, John Heard, Roy McCurdy, Jon Mayer, Tony Insalaco, Jeff Berlin, Martin Drew, The New Jazz Couriers, Alan Barnes Nonet, Anita Wardell,Tony Lujan,Larry Gales, Alex Acuna, Johnny "Hammond" Smith, Ray Armando, Henry Franklin, Bobby Shew, Pete Christlieb, Garcia brothers, Carl Burnett, Al "Tootie" Heath,Jimmy Branly,the Ebonic Blues Orchestra,Theo Saunders,Gary Novak & Dave Carpenter.
