"Blues Fest 2013" Colin Hodgkinson and "Back Door"

COLIN HODGKINSON AND BACK DOOR

Colin Hodgkinson, a native of North Yorkshire, formed Back Door in 1971 with Ron Aspery. Their unique brand of jazz-rock and Hodgkinson's original electric bass playing was a hit and they toured worldwide including gigs with the legendary J. Geils Band in the U.S. After 1977 they disbanded and Hodgkinson worked in a string of projects including The Spencer Davis Group, stints playing live with Alexis Korner and a few bands with Jan Hammer. The Back Door reunion band features Colin on bass and vocals, Paul Robinson on drums and our own Rod Mason on sax.

The original sax drums and bass trio for the blues!
